NSBA Postpones Networking Events Indefinitely Due to COVID-19.

Posted on March 12, 2020 in , ,

SASKATOON, SK – In response to the recent confirmed case of COVID-19 in Saskatoon, the NSBA has taken the decision to postpone all scheduled networking events, including the 23rd Annual Business Builder Awards, presented by Nutrien. While the Province and City have not issued any regulations surrounding public gatherings, we feel that it is in the best interests of the health and safety of our membership and the public to postpone our events until a later date. A full list of the events affected by this postponement can be found at the bottom of this news release.

We ask for your patience and understanding at this time as we look to reschedule these events. Any tickets that have been purchased for our events will be honoured when the dates are rescheduled, including those allotted for sponsorships. We will continue to update the membership and community at large as new dates are secured for these events.

During this time, NSBA staff will also refrain from attending large community gatherings and events on behalf of the NSBA. One-on-one meetings with members and small gatherings such as NSBA Committees will continue as scheduled. We intend to do our best to ensure that the business of the NSBA carries on with minimal interruption while also promoting the safety of our community.

We strongly recommend that our membership stay updated on the latest bulletins regarding COVID-19 from the Ministry of Health, the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and the Governments of Saskatchewan and Canada. The Government of Saskatchewan is maintaining an information page for the public and health officials here: https://www.saskatchewan.ca/government/health-care-administration-and-provider-resources/treatment-procedures-and-guidelines/emerging-public-health-issues/2019-novel-coronavirus.

If you have any questions regarding a specific event or meeting, please contact the NSBA office at 306-242-3060.
