Keith has been Executive Director of the NSBA since 2010. Prior to that, he was a self-employed journalist and communications professional. Among his more notable contracts was with Saskatchewan Business Magazine, where he served as Editor for 12 years. A graduate of the U of S (BA, English) and the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame, Keith grew up on the family farm in the Colonsay/Viscount area. Keith and his wife Lenore have three children and two grandchildren.
Keith’s primary role is to fulfill the vision and objectives set forth by the NSBA’s Board of Directors. As the leader of the NSBA, Keith builds and maintains relationships with key business, community and political leaders, which in turn allows him to work with them on behalf of the membership, on any number of issues or topics. He is also the designated media spokesperson for the organization, and oversees NSBA staff, finances and general functions.
Reed Hnidy is the Member Services Coordinator for the NSBA. He has been employed with the NSBA since the spring of 2018. Reed’s role for the NSBA is to develop positive relationships with association members, the local community, and other internal staff to assist the Executive Director in accordance with all regulatory requirements of the strategic planning of the association, procedures and practices. Reed also works with all businesses with a goal of turning prospective members into engaged NSBA members.
Reed grew up in Saskatoon but went to school in Ohio where he graduated from Lake Erie College with a bachelors degree in Business. He also played college lacrosse for his four years of school where he won a national championship in 2016. In his spare time he loves to be active in sports as well as spending time at the lake.
The NSBA office’s resident import (from Ontario), Andrew started with the NSBA in October 2016 and is the NSBA’s Research and Policy Analyst. He is responsible for providing administrative support to the NSBA’s Committees and Board of Directors, researching membership concerns, drafting materials for lobbying and advocacy issues, and providing general support to the Executive Director wherever possible. If you have questions about Committees, past Board materials, or lobbying and advocacy initiatives Andrew is the person to talk to.
Andrew graduated from the University of Western Ontario (UWO) with a degree in Philosophy and Creative Writing and has previously worked with the University Students’ Council at UWO and Statistics Canada (during the 2016 Census Program). In his spare time, Andrew is President of the Gophers Rugby Club and enjoys playing rugby and spending time with his wife Keely and his dog Myah.
Andrea began her career at the NSBA in April 2016 as the Office Administrator after nearly 10 years of experience in accounting. When you call the NSBA office, she will likely be the “voice smiling on the other end of the line” as she is also the receptionist. Andrea is responsible for all general office duties to ensure the day-to day operations of the NSBA run smoothly, as well as managing all accounting/financial processes. If you have questions or require assistance in registering for any events or if you are looking for an invoice or to process your payments, Andrea is responsible for managing the NSBA’s membership accounts through the MemberZone software program. In addition to this, Andrea is responsible for creating and editing all e-mail advertising including member ads, the weekly NSBA News & Upcoming Events e-blast, and bi-monthly FOCUS Newsletter.
Andrea has one daughter, Savannah, and a new granddaughter, Natalie, who keep her busy outside of the NSBA.
